Rick is the Chief Executive Officer of Brooks-Waterburn Corporation. He is an alum of Pace University. Rick’s first position out of school was a mail room clerk for a brokerage firm across the street from his university and from there his career became over 50 years of history in the making.

Rick founded Brooks-Waterburn in 1964 as a small two person company and it has grown to be a two generation, family-owned and operated corporation and it continues to grow.

When Rick is not working along-side his son, Larry, he spends time with his wife of over 50 years, two children and two grandchildren, He’s a big family man. Rick's hobbies? He enjoys wine making, travel and cooking.

Larry is a seasoned veteran of the Insurance industry since 1985. He received his degree in Marketing from Pace University. Post graduation and following in the family tradition, Larry began his career as an Underwriter for Travelers Insurance and later as a Marketing Representative for CNA. In 1989 Larry attained his Insurance license and joined Brooks-Waterburn. Over the next 8 years, Larry worked and managed in each division of the company until becoming a VP in 1997 and President in 2001. In 2003, Larry, with Joel Blitzer, developed and launched the Laundromat Success Program - a program created to educate and completely protect Laundromat business owners.

When he's not working, Larry enjoys spending time with his family golf and cooking. He also likes spending time with his granddaughter!

Commercial Lines

Joel has been working in the Insurance industry since 1989. He holds a B.S. degree in business from the C.W. Post campus of Long Island University. Upon graduating, he held the positions of underwriter for Aetna Life and Casualty, Senior Multi-National Underwriter for A.I.G. and later became an Independent Insurance Agent. Joel joined Brooks-Waterburn in 2001 as Commercial Lines Manager and became Vice President in 2004. Joel is co-creator of the “Laundromat Success Program”, Brooks-Waterburn’s premier industry program for Laundromat owners nationwide. He is also the current president and founder of a local BNI chapter. Joel is a strong believer in continuing education programs and has mastered agency management systems of which he teaches and mentors his employees to enhance the customer service experience at Brooks-Waterburn.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, cooking, dining out and entertaining with his wife, two children and friends. He is an active board member of a local youth soccer league, a member of his community chamber of commerce and attends many local civic meetings to address topics within the community.

Personal Lines

Kathy joined us in May 2009 with over 10 years of business experience under her belt. Kathy is well versed in all facets of Personal Accounts specializing in High Net Worth Individuals. Kathy thoroughly enjoys providing outstanding service to all of her clientele.

Outside of work, Kathy spends time enjoying her family (she has six kids!).

Debbie joined Brooks Waterburn in 2011, but has been in the insurance industry since 2005. Debbie is married to Tom for over 24 years and have 2 children. In her spare time, Debbie enjoys reading, watching Pro Football and spending time in the mountains.

Miriam joined Brooks- Waterburn in September 2007 bringing 20 years of corporate experience in Systems, Finance, and Human Resources. Miriam speaks fluent Spanish and her friendly disposition allows her to provide outstanding services to our clientele; and as co-owner of a Laundromat Business with her husband since 1995, Miriam is well versed in the needs of our clients.

Outside of work, Miriam loves to travel. When she’s home, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, crocheting and snuggling up with a good book.
